Fiction is a made up story, a subjective narration of an imagination rooted from facts. Fiction often begins with “What If” statement to challenge or justify the status quo. This supposition is the key instrument of imagination, which often becomes an impetus to architecture. “Fiction” and “architecture” intersect and manipulate reality. Eventually shape novelty without alienating. Architecture is instrumental in shaping fiction. Fiction is also instrumental in shaping architecture.
With this edition, we invite contributors to board in a journey for gaining revelations, discovering wild thoughts, sharpening criticisms or delivering emotional messages presented by architectural fiction (fictional architecture). Let us detach ourselves from the concerns on client, buildability, context or tectonics; let our imagination immerse in a quest to reimagine space.
Let’s write a FICTION!
