As an Senior Associate at Woods Bagot’s San Francisco studio, Maulana Murdan brings with him over fifteen years of international experience in large, mixed use projects. His architectural career has given him the opportunity to design projects across the globe, with extensive experience in Singapore, where he lived and worked for seven years. He has also worked on projects in Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China and the Middle East.
His understanding of architecture and design on an international scale has shaped Maulana’s belief that the actual design process is the most critical aspect in creating high performance, sustainable design.
Previously he was involved with the design team for Jinling Tower, in Nanjing, China, which won both the San Francisco AIA’s Unbuilt Design Award and Venice Biennale’s Metamorph Award in 2004. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Competition, for which he was the design team leader, won the 2007 AIA San Francisco Unbuilt Design Award.
